Daisy Marie Jones Van Wagoner passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 24, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 27, 1934 to Warren E. Jones and Elva Hardy in Castle Dale, Utah. She married the love of her life, Ronald Leroy Van Wagoner on Feb. 15, 1957. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.
Daisy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served faithfully in many callings. Her passion was family history and temple work. Her family would often find Daisy in her office searching for lost ancestors. Daisy also loved crocheting, camping and fishing, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a grandchild, Lacey, and her loving husband, Ronald. We are sure their reunion was joyous and sweet.
She is survived by her children: Richard (Trish) Van Wagoner, Cleveland, Utah; Roxanne Van Wagoner, Springville, Utah; Marie (Kenny) Gray, Clinton, Utah; Valerie (Scott) Underwood, Springville, Utah; Kathryn (Clayton) Rasmussen, Helper, Utah; Bruce (Charlene) Van Wagoner, Rio Ranchero, N.M.; siblings: Richard Lamont (Jill) Jones, Springville, Utah; Elva Lafawn (Ronald) White, St. Johns, Ariz.; Warren Jewell (Brenda) Jones, Orem, Utah; 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff and Utah Valley Hospital and Hospice for their fantastic care for mom.
