HELPER-Our beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend, Joshua Ben Shepherd, age 21, passed away in his home the evening of June 17, 2011. Born Jan. 21, 1990 in Price, Utah to Clark and Debbie Nielson Shepherd.
Josh was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Spring Glen Ward. He loved his family and friends and he was not afraid or ever embarrassed to show his love for people, as everyone was greeted with his big bear hug, a kiss on the cheek and a tender “love you.” Everybody was a “buddy” to Josh and regardless of their life circumstances Josh always said, “They’re still good people.”
Josh was a lover of the great outdoors. Whether it be camping, fishing, hunting or his all time favorite four-wheeling in the mud and snow, that’s where Josh was the happiest. The deeper the better. There was no one more proud of a muddy truck than he. Growing up Josh was the entrepreneur of the Spring Glen community. Mowing lawns, bailing hay, shoveling snow, Josh was not afraid of a little hard work. As long as he was making a buck or two he was a happy boy.
Survived by his parents, Debbie Shepherd, Helper, Clark Shepherd, Greenwood, Ark.; siblings, Jenny (Phil) Thompson, West Jordan, Jamie Shepherd (Darrin Bradley) Wellington, Jesse Shepherd (Cortney Reaveley), Price, Jolene Shepherd (Steve Lessar), Helper; loving grandparents, Joyce A. Cross, Spring Glen, Bud (LaRae) Nielson, Pleasant Grove, Oren Shepherd, Murray; precious nephew and niece, Carson and Lexy.
Preceded in death by his grandmother Verna Shepherd; great grandmother, Vivian Marlor Jacobson.
