PRICE-Eva Ruth Billman, age 78, swiftly and peacefully passed through the veil and into the arms of her sweetheart on June 14, 2011. Ruth was born on Sept. 8, 1932 in Bozeman, Mont. to Thomas Albert and Blanch Emmaline Cole Richey. She married Delbert Ray Billman on Dec. 23, 1950 in Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Late LDS Temple on March 24, 1971.
Known as Grandma Wee Wee by all who loved her, Ruth always lived life to the fullest. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many positions including Relief Society President and primary worker. She was always there to help others and loved her Savior very much. She loved gardening and always had a beautifully landscaped yard. Ruth enjoyed camping, making beaded jewelry, painting and creating beautiful appliquéd quilts for all her great grandchildren, most of all she loved to play with the children and delighted with each new arrival. Ruth was generous with her time doing many small acts of compassion within the community.
She is survived by her children: Elizabeth (Monty) Unsworth of Price, Nolan (Dena) Billman of Moses Lake, Wash., Anita (Buddy) Hindberg of Vancouver, Wash., siblings: Albert (June) Richey of Dalton Gardens, Idaho, Virgil (Deloris) Richey of Meredian, Idaho, Vera (Mel) Miller, of Casa Grande, Ariz., Kenneth (Rhea) Richey of Boise, Idaho, 15 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Blanch Richey, husband, Delbert, brothers, Homer, Elvin and Lloyd Richey, and sister Ethel Wilson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 3 p.m. at the Wellington LDS First Ward Chapel (50 North 100 East). A viewing will be held Friday, June 17, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (680 East 100 South – Price, Utah) and on Saturday from 1:45-2:45 p.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be Tuesday June 21, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens in Othello, Wash. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
