The Emery County Business Chamber Lunch and Learn will be on July 20 at noon at the Museum of the San Rafael. The featured speaker is Candide M. Congressman Jason Chaffetz will be hosting a Town Hall meeting on Aug. 8 at 11 a.m. at the Museum of the San Rafael in Castle Dale.
Fair Entries For
Emery County Fair
It is time again for your entry in the exhibits for the Emery County Fair. To see guidelines for exhibits, please go to http://www.emerycounty.com/fair/ . Guidelines generally follow the Utah State Fair requirements.
Items will be accepted Aug. 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for general items and Aug 3 9-10:30 a.m. for fresh produce, flowers only. Quilts should have a sleeve on the back of the quilt for display. Judging will be held Aug 3 and exhibit building will be open to view displays each day from Aug. 4 – 6. Exhibit items can be picked up at the Fair Building on Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon. Photography only will accept exhibits on Monday and Tuesday, but none on Wednesday.
All 4-H exhibits will be entered online by 4-H leaders only. Entries will be accepted online from July 22 to July 28. Exhibit tags will be printed by USU Extension office.

Food Handler’s Classes

July 20, Aug. 24, Sept. 28, Oct. 19, Nov. 16, Dec. 14. Classes will be held at 4 and 7 p.m. at the Southeastern Utah District Health Dept., 25 West Main (next to Boyd’s Pharmacy) Castle Dale. Emery High School “Military Honor Wall”
Emery High School has created an “Honor Wall” to recognize Emery High students who have served in the Armed Forces from 2000 to the present. We would like a 5×7 photo in military dress, if possible. Please include name, branch of service, rank, active duty address, and deployments. Mail photographs and information to Linda Wilberg, Emery High School, Box 499 Castle Dale, UT 84513 or e-mail them to larryd@emeryschools.org.

Grand Re-opening of Christy’s Salon Sensations
On July 21 there will be a grand re-opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for Christy’s Salon Sensations at 190 South Main in Huntington at 10 a.m. The celebration will last July 19-22 with specials and refreshments served. Plan to attend the celebration and see the remodeling and expansion project of the salon. Christy Collard and Katie Brady are the salon owners. Their phone number is 687-9766.
