Rodeo Time – Desertview Pro Rodeo July 28, 29, 30 Wright brothers coming to town

The Desertview Pro Rodeo number 13 is slated to come to town on July 28, 29, 30, at the rodeo arena in Castle Dale at 7:30 p.m. For 13 straight years the Desertview Pro Rodeo has grown larger and is now in its special 13th big year. The rodeo committee knows the success of this rodeo is due to the greatest rodeo fans and sponsors in the country. The three day event will be jam packed with cowboys and cowgirls from all over the country competing for big money purses. For the fifth year the Desertview Pro Rodeo is a sanctioned RAM Rodeo.
National Rodeo Finals riders will make an appearance at the Desertview Pro Rodeo. Cowboys and cowgirls sure to please the crowd include: the Wright brothers from Milford. The oldest brother Cody is a two time world champion saddle bronc rider winning in 2008 and 2010. His brother Jake is 15th in the world and Jesse is fifth. Alex Wright is currently 33rd, all in saddle bronc.
Ryan Jarrett took the world all-round championship in 2005. He will be in Castle Dale to compete in calf roping and steer wrestling. The sixth ranked roping team of Cesar de la Cruz and Derek Begay will be in town hailing from Tucson, Ariz. and Seba Dalkai. Kaycee Field is currently ranked third in the world for bareback and he is from Payson. National Rodeo finals cowboys include: Nate Baldwin from Blackfoot, Idaho in calf roping; Levi Barry from Morgan in saddle bronc; Dusty Morse from Randolph in team roping; Ike Sankey will compete in steer roping. Local participants include Melanie Adams from Price in barrel racing. Brock Winn from Ferron in saddle bronc. Winn recently took second place in saddle bronc at the National college finals rodeo. Justin Truman from Huntington will compete in steer roping and calf roping. Jacob Marshall from Huntington will participate in bull riding. Angie
