In an attempt to accommodate everyone, please call the Town Office at 653-2310 and leave a message with the number of people in your family planning to attend. Come out and support our awesome Fire Fighters.
Watch for scam
The Emery County Sheriff’s Office is warning everyone that scammers are out in force. The latest scam to hit the county is texts and telephone calls with recorded messages saying they are calling for Wells Fargo Bank. The caller tells them their credit card needs updated information or there is a problem with their credit card. The caller will ask the person to call another number or to follow a link. If the person makes the call then they will be asked to give out their personal information and pin numbers as well as account numbers. Wells Fargo Bank urges everyone not to fall for this scam. The scammers are using the Wells Fargo Bank name to gain the person’s trust. Some of the people being called do not bank with Wells Fargo. This is a phishing effort to find out how much personal information the scammer can get out of you. The scammers are using this personal information to drain bank accounts.
If you receive any of these types of phone calls or texts. Be suspicious. Do not give out any information. Your bank will not call you and request information. They already have your account information and pin numbers. Never give this information out over the telephone or text. If someone calls you request to talk to their supervisor. Ask for a call back number. Call your bank and let them know that people are calling you and requesting information. Report anything suspicious to your bank, the sheriff’s office or the FBI.
