Horse and Buggy Days
Elmo will host its annual Horse and Buggy Days on Aug. 11-13. It will begin on Thursday evening with a kids rodeo. On Friday night will be a bike ride. Saturday will have activities in the park all day with a parade beginning at 10 a.m.
Emery Spartan Football
The Emery High School football team will host their annual black and gold game on Aug. 12 at 7 p.m. They will open the season with a home game on Aug. 19 and Aug. 26 beginning at 7 p.m.
Benefit For Millsite State Park
The Emery County Travel Council and the Southeastern Utah OHV Club are sponsoring an ATV Poker Ride (all proceeds will be used to improve facilities at Millsite State Park). The event will be held on Aug. 13 with registration from 10 a.m. to noon at Millsite State Park in Ferron.
Emery High School “Military Honor Wall”
Emery High School has created an “Honor Wall” to recognize Emery High students who have served in the Armed Forces from 2000 to the present. They would like a 5×7 photo in military dress, if possible. Please include name, branch of service, rank, active duty address, and deployments. Mail photographs and information to Linda Wilberg, Emery High School, Box 499 Castle Dale, UT 84513 or e-mail them to larryd@emeryschools.org.
They would also appreciate any active duty pictures for the display case.

Rocky Mountain School of Baseball
The Rocky Mountain School of Baseball announces registration is underway for its Annual Fall League. The registration deadline is Aug. 16. The league consists of six Saturday doubleheaders. Teams will be divided into three geographical regions from across the Wasatch Front to Southeast Idaho. Age divisions from 8 up to 18 up.
