On Aug. 17, Wells Fargo Bank paired up with Castle County Habitat for Humanity to put a major dent in the balance of the work needed to finish the Habitat Project House in Wellington. Wells Fargo donated $10,000 for materials needed and then even brought a gang of hard working volunteers.
Their volunteers joined hands with Habitat board members and some local volunteers. Together they did a marvelous job, and all while having a good time. The workers broke up into teams. While one team was installing cabinets in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room, others were busy putting siding on the outside. Another pair of volunteers were installing the soffits. There was work going on every where you looked.
When lunch time came around everyone was ready to eat delicious sloppy joes, mac salad and some home made cake provided by board member Billene Henrie.
The 10 Wells Fargo volunteers came from as far away as Vernal and Moab, and some from Castle Dale and Price. It was really wonderful of those volunteers to drive so far to work on a house on a hot day. There were also nine board members and four local volunteers pitching in to help get the work done.
The Castle Country Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors is very grateful for the gracious hard work and gives all of the volunteers high fives for their generosity.
