Don Y. Jensen, 91, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, in Aberdeen, S.D.
Don Y. Jensen, son of Ernest E. and Neva B. (Ralphs) Jensen, was born on Jan. 24, 1920, in Castle Dale, where he grew up and graduated from Central High School. He went on to attend the University of Utah and Utah State University.
Don served in the United States Army from 1942 until 1946. He married Mary Roberts Rhinehart on Sept. 1, 1950, in Billings, Mont. He is survived by his daughter Rae (Dennis) Feickert, Aberdeen; granddaughter, Megan Engelhart (Christopher Theiling), Kansas City, Mo.; and “adopted” brother/longtime friend, Barney Old Coyote, Belgrade, Mont.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, parents, Ernest and Neva Jensen; grandson, Nathan Engelhart; brother, Ralph Jensen; sisters, Elaine Jensen and Helen Peacock.
