PRICE/WASHINGTON, Utah – Dennis Leonard, at the age of 62, lost his life-long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He passed away in his home on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, with his devoted sister, caregiver and friend; Kayrene Leonard; his mother and father, and family at his side.
Dennie was born on March 21, 1949, in Price, to Paul B. (Jack) and Violet Leonard. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul D. Leonard, and sister, Sharon Louise Leonard Bettino. He is survived by his three sons: Christopher, Kip and Tad Leonard; and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving parents: Paul B. (Jack) and Violet Leonard; his brother Brent J. Leonard; and sisters: Jacqueline Leonard Zubal, Kayrene Leonard and Dianna Leonard Carver.
Dennie served his LDS mission in North Dakota on the Native American Reservation. He was an avid fisherman, talented photographer and accomplished organist. He worked at Jack’s Shoes for many years then finished his career at Mr. Mac in Taylorsville. He was also a member of the “Easy Street Band.” Graveside services were held at the Salem, Utah, Cemetery on Saturday, Aug. 27.
