Utah comes together to celebrate agriculture and our state culture at Utah State Fair Sept. 8-18. The fair will host many different events from rodeo and demolition derby to livestock shows and concerts; “It’s all here” at the Utah State Fair with something for everyone.
For more than 150 years the Utah State Fair has been a place for rural Utahns to come together to share stories, ideas, skills, talents and good times. This year will be no exception to the long standing tradition of excellence. This year’s fair will include the traditional favorites like Utah’s Own PRCA rodeo, horse pulls, truck pulls, demolition derby, carnival, horse shows, livestock auction, and great food. The fair will also host big name concerts like country sensation Big and Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Cowboy Troy, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Tay Barton and many others.
The State Fair encompasses all of Utah and its residents. There will be state fair contestants from all areas of the state. Rural residents will be competing in all different areas from cake contest to rodeo events.
The fair is also a great opportunity for rural members of the 4H and FFA to participate. FFA and 4H members will be showcasing their summer project which can range from photograph to specialty breeds of cattle.
The fair is a way to show support for local youth and view their amazing achievements from the past year.
