Sept. 16
Vendors in the Park – Noon until dark. 3 Man Golf Scramble – Golf Course – 9 a.m. GRHS Baseball game VS Wendover 2 p.m. Softball games all evening at City Ball Parks. Queen Pageant – High School – 7 p.m. Square Dancing City Park – 7:30 p.m.
Sept. 17: 5K Melon Walk/Run – 7 a.m. Scout Breakfast at the City Park 7 – 9:30 a.m. Vendors in the Park – all da Parade – 10 a.m. Entertainment in the the Park – 11:30 a.m. featuring Switchback. Live Music – Bands on Broadway all afternoon and evening. Duck Races in the river – 3 p.m. Softball games – all afternoon and evening Square Dancing – City Park – 7:30 p.m. Free Melon all day Saturday (sponsored by local melon growers).
Peach Days
Sept. 7: Exhibits accepted at City Hall from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. – contact Angela 384-2735; Talent Show and Dessert Contest – 6 p.m. Mayor’s Park.
Sept. 8: Floral exhibits and baked or cooked items due at City Hall by 10 a.m. Bike Ride – 6 p.m. Mayors Park Contact City Hall for information.
Sept. 9: Exhibits on display at City Hall 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Dinner and entertainment in the Park – Dinner at the Fairground Park from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Fireworks – 8:30 p.m. at Millsite Reservoir.
> Sept. 10-Field of Flags – Sunrise Ceremony Program begins promptly at 7 a.m. at the Old Church Park – Flags will remain on display through Monday Breakfast 7:30 – 9 a.m. at the Fire Station; Fun Run – 7:30 a.m. Meet in front of Ferron Elementary.
All day Golf Tournament Scramble at Millsite Golf Course. Call 384-2887; Parade 10 a.m. Mill Road and State Street. Family Fun Day – Fun and games at the Mayor’s Park immediately following the Parade Soapbox Derby – Races begin at Noon at 100 East and Mill Road. Exhibits on display at City Hall from Noon – 3 p.m.
Horse Races – Races will begin promptly at 1 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Demolition Derby following the Races at approximately 6 p.m.
Dance immediately following the Derby in the Multi Purpose Building at the Fairgrounds
