HELPER-Our dear friend, Carmen Chavez born May 31, 1958 passed away Sept. 16, 2011 in Price.
Carmen was a longtime resident of Carbon County where she shared her life with many friends and family. She was known for her loving heart and wonderful sense of humor. She loved life and especially enjoyed giving nicknames to everyone she knew. Her laughter and beautiful smile will be cherished always. Our “Auntie Carmen” will be greatly missed.
Survived by her longtime partner, David Kouris; daughter, Sarah (Jared) Carlson; brothers and sisters, Danny (Shelia) Chavez, Gloria Martinez, Thomas (Gloria) Montez, Mary Lou Chavez, Pat, Rashema and Susie; and many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Arlene Chavez; Josie and Justine Luevano; brothers, Richard Montez, Paul Garcia; niece and nephew, Anna and Larry Chavez
Funeral service, Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, 2 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to service. Interment, Mt. View Cemetery.
