Emery County Youth Tackle Football Elections
Elections for the 2012 Emery County Youth Tackle Football officers will be held Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. at the Emery County Recreation Center 75 S. 400 E. in Castle Dale. Any questions feel free to call Emery County Recreation at 381-2108.
Emery County Historical Society
Invites you to learn about Icelandic immigrants who settled in Emery County. The guest speaker will be Professor Fred E. Woods, who is writing a book about Icelandic immigrants in Utah. He will be speaking especially about those who settled in Emery County.
Mark your calendar: Oct. 25.
Please note this is Tuesday, rather than Thursday, at the Museum of the San Rafael 7 p.m.
Annual dues are $5 per person

Community Theatre Vounteers Needed
Would you like to help make a story on a page come to life on the stage then, Community Theatre needs you. We need: directors, costumers, make-up helpers, construction crews, backstage helpers, musicians, choreographers…just to name a few. We will be having a meeting on Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. at Cottonwwod Elementary. If you have any interest at all in helping, even if it’s a little bit, please come. Festival of Trees
The Festival of Trees is coming up. They need items to sell in the boutique. Anything is welcome but no food items. Quilts, baby quilts, crafts, decorations, towels, blankets, hair bows, any homemade item. Bring to Barbra before Oct. 31. Call 687-2580 for more information. Drop off to Barbra at 312 West 200 South.
Missionary Prep class
All high school seniors and graduates are invited to a weekly Missionary Preparation class at the Castle Dale LDS Seminary. Classes are every Monday morning at 7 a.m. Breakfast is provided afterward. We look forward to seeing you.
