SUNNYSIDE/PRICE- Our loving husband, father and grandfather, Robert C. Brady, age 87, passed away peacefully on Oct. 23, 2011 at Castleview Hospital with his family by his side. He was born May 15, 1924 in Rolapp, Utah to Ilo Edwin and Ethel Allred Brady.
Married his sweetheart Marjorie Anderson on May 24, 1947 in Huntington, Utah and their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on May 24, 1958. Marjorie passed away on April 19, 2004. He later married Regina Johnson.
Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bob loved coal mining and he was a valued and dedicated employee at Castle Gate and Kaiser Steel mines. He was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America Local #9958 where he retired in 1982. He also worked part-time at Miners Trading Post.
Bob and Marge loved to travel with the Good Sam’s Club and their life long friends. On Tuesdays, Bob could be found on the golf course with the seniors. He loved fishing, camping, hunting, golfing and spending time with his family. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II.
Bob is survived by his children, Gale Brady (Kay Salazar), Lakewood, Colo., Karen (Scott) O’Brien, South Jordan, Pam (Robert) Martinez, Price, Ricky (Marta) Brady, Winnemucca, Nev.; nine grandchildren, Heather, Staley, Richelle, Darek, Brady, Cori, Michael, Candy and Jenny; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Illene Dallecorte, Crystal Lake, Ill.; wife, Regina, Price; and her children, Debbie (Lenny) Pagano, Stephen (Beth) Johnson, Jeff (Lylis) Johnson, Joy (Steven) Bracken and Jan Loveless.
Preceded in death by wife, Marjorie; parents, sister Jean Basso; brother Grant and infant brother Jerry D.
We would like to thank the Heirloom Inn staff, Dr. Glenn Etzel, and Castleview Hospital for their excellent and loving care. Also a special thanks to our dear friends, Suzie and Ray Madrid and family.
Funeral service, Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, 11 a.m., Price North Stake Center,( 449 North 100 East), Price. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church Thursday one hour prior to service. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Robert at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans or a charity of choice.
