CLAWSON-Frank Jensen, age 98, passed away Jan. 14, 2012 in Price, Utah. Frank was born Oct. 24, 1913 in Huntington, Utah to Julius and Irene Foote Jensen. He married Ila Mary Cox on Oct. 18, 1945 in Price, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on Nov. 10, 1948. Ila passed away on June 19, 1994.
Frank was born, and raised most of his life, in Emery County. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Hawaii, Australia, and the Philippines. He was a member of the LDS Church and held numerous callings. He was a farmer and a coal miner. Frank loved the outdoors, and especially loved fishing and being in the desert. He was an inventor and had numerous interesting inventions. Frank was also very social. He was outgoing and loved to help others. His family was the center of his life.
He is survived by his children: Louise Price of Clawson, Rulon (Carolyn) Blackburn of California, Sandra (John) Justice of Clawson, and Michael (Doris) Jensen also of Clawson; a daughter-in-law, Adela Blackburn of Orangeville; two siblings, Nephi Jensen of Sandy, and Bertha Jones of Elmo; a brother-in-law, Merrill Cox of Spanish Fork; a sister-in-law, Diana Cox of Price; 25 grandchildren; and numerous great-, great-great-, and great-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ila; three children: Donna Jean Smith, infant daughter Ila Blackburn, and Sherald “D” Blackburn; two sons-in-law, Darrel Price and Don Smith; siblings: Emma Edwards, Alice Howell, Andrew Jensen, Joseph Jensen, Mae Kaser, Mary Woolsey, and Ammon Jensen; a sister-in-law, Vonda Jensen; and a brother-in-law, Lloyd Jones.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (720 N. Center St., Castle Dale). There will be a viewing at 1 p.m. prior to the services at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Ferron City Cemetery.
