HUNTINGTON/IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO – Don Kirk Curtis, age 63, passed away May 30, 2012 in Ferron, Utah. Kirk was born July 1, 1948 in Price, Utah to Don “Jack” and Lucy Jones Curtis. He grew up in Cleveland, Utah graduating from North Emery High School.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years during the Vietnam Conflict. Kirk earned his Associated Degree from CEU. He worked as a surveyor for many years in Carbon and Emery counties.
He later moved to the Idaho Falls, Idaho area where he lived for more than 30 years. He was a computer tech and owned and operated his own business for many years.
Kirk is survived by his son, Andrew Curtis of Moab; siblings: Kay Curtis of Huntington, Dale Curtis of Huntington, Nedra Curtis of Huntington, Bart Curtis of Price, and Bret Curtis of Huntington; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; two sons, Brandon Curtis and Don Andrew Curtis; and a daughter, Jennifer Curtis.
Graveside services were held Saturday June 2, 2012 at 3 p.m. in the Huntington City Cemetery. There was a viewing Saturday prior to the services from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (720 N. Center St., Castle Dale).
