CARBONVILLE-Kate Ann Merkley Jewkes, age 96, passed away on May 29, 2012 in Price, Utah. She was born on April 21, 1916 in Vernal, Utah to George Albert and Georgianna Blackburn Merkley. Kate married Mont Kale Jewkes on May 14, 1937. They were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple on Nov. 28, 1961. Funeral services were held Friday, June 1, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Spring Glen LDS Chapel. Interment was in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery in Vernal, Utah. Services were in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
