Claron and Vicky Durrant have been residents of Huntington for 33 years.
Vicky was born in Price and was raised in Hiawatha, where her father Allen Cox worked in the coal mine. She graduated from Carbon High School, then worked as a secretary in Orem, following her graduation from high school
Claron was born in Franklin, Idaho. He graduated from Preston High School. Following graduation he attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a BS degree in Elementary Education. It was while attending BYU that he met and married Vicky Lee Cox.
Following graduation and marriage in 1970, they lived in Pocatello, Idaho, where Claron taught elementary school for 10 years. In June 1979 they moved to Huntington where he taught at Huntington Elementary School for 31 years, retiring in May 2010.
Claron and Vicky are parents of six children: Alana Olsen, Melinda Durrant, Dennis, Stephen, Errol, and Sharol Sorenson.
