A home in Castle Dale received a makeover by local Zions Bank employees during the company’s 22nd annual Paint-a-Thon service project. Zions bankers traded balance sheets for brushes to paint and landscape the home of Mia Gregersen of Castle Dale.
Throughout the week, more than 3,500 Zions Bank employees and their families are volunteering to clean, scrape and paint 50 homes in Utah and Idaho.
“We look forward to this rewarding service project every year,” said Zions employee and Paint-a-Thon team captain Carmen Humphrey. “Our goal at Zions Bank is to create value in our communities, so we’re proud and excited to help our neighbors spruce up their homes and beautify our local neighborhoods.”
In addition to painting, Zions employees will provide yard clean-up, pruning, mowing, planting and minor repairs as needed by homeowners. The cost for all paint and supplies is contributed by Zions Bank and other local businesses. “We are very grateful to the local community for all that they did to help with this project this year. We would like to thank Magnuson Lumber for giving us a big discount on all the paint and supplies, Sutherlands was very gracious and donated two pallets of sod to help with the yard, Horn Mountain Construction supplied all the ladders, scaffolding and materials to repair some windows and doors as well as the labor, Ace Hardware donated some top soil to help beautify the flower pots and around the bushes, Zions employees and their families provided many hours of labor and some flowers, Main Street Market kept the crew hydrated with discounted beverages and dinner, Gilly’s prepared a wonderful dinner at discounted rate, along with R Pizza Place and Subway. We had a great turnout from the Castle Dale, Huntington and Price branch employees.”
