ORANGEVILLE – Michael L. Ball, age 39, passed away Sept. 7, 2012. Mike was born July 12, 1973 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was raised in Orangeville where he played football and graduated from Emery High School in 1991.
Mike was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially the mountains. His hobbies included shooting and just driving his truck. He cared a lot for all animals. Mike was a big kid at heart and was gentle with everyone. He loved his family and friends. For many years before his father passed away, Mike took care of him. Mike will always be remembered as a “Gentle Giant” with a heart of gold who was always caring for others.
Mike is survived by his mother, Marge Ball of Orangeville; his brother, Matthew (Cheyanne) Ball of Fruita, Colo.; two nephews, Bradin and Daxton Ball; a niece, Payton Ball; and two aunts, Doris Larson of American Fork and Bonnie (Gordon) Thomas of Salt Lake City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry W. Ball, and his grandparents, Grandpa and Grandma Cummings and Grandpa and Grandma Ball.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Orangeville City Cemetery. There will be a viewing Wednesday prior to the services at Fausett Mortuary (720 N. Center St., Castle Dale) from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
