CLEVELAND-Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and longtime friend, Sandra Uleene Jensen, age 69, passed away Sept. 8, 2012 at Beehive Home in Elmo where her family was extremely grateful for the exceptional care she received.
She was born Nov. 10, 1942 in Cleveland, Utah to Ernest William and Nellie Davis Jensen.
On Nov. 17, 1962, she married Sheldon Lavar Atwood in Cleveland and he preceded her in death on Oct. 27, 1971. A year later she married Henry C. Jensen on Nov 4, 1972 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Sandra shared a strong faith in the Lord and was an active member of The First Independent Baptist Church. She was a lifelong resident of Emery County and graduate of North Emery High.
After graduation she enrolled in cosmetology school and received her cosmetology degree in Provo. Sandra loved people and especially enjoyed working with her hands and caring for others. For years she worked as a beautician in many beauty salons and as a florist at Gordon’s Nursery in Huntington.
Anyone that knew Sandra, knew that she loved the outdoors and if she wasn’t out riding then she was planning a shopping trip. Sandra loved to brighten everyone’s day and during Christmas she was always trying to find another set of lights to place outside.
One of her greatest enjoyments was the love, support and encouragement which she extended to her kids, grandkids and her precious great-grandson. “She will always be that smile in our hearts.”
Sandra leaves behind her sweetheart, soul mate and caretaker, Henry C. Jensen of Cleveland; one son, two daughters and their spouses, Travis (Toni) Atwood, Huntington, Chandra (Darrin) Jensen, Cleveland, Chris Moyes, Helena, Mont.; sisters, Wilda (Blake) Jones, Huntington, Beverly Jensen, Castle Dale, Thelma Jensen, Ferron, Wyanna (Ronald) World, Cleveland; eight grandchildren Shanda (Jesse) McArthur, Sharamie and Shakoda Atwood, all of Huntington, Shelby, Shantz and Shekiya Jensen, all of Cleveland, Cryslen and Jayden Moyes, Helena, Mont.; and great-grandson, Bronc McArthur. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Sheldon; brother, Ernest Edward Jensen; and brothers-in-law, John and Bertley Jensen.
