There was a plane crash at the Huntington Airport on Saturday at 1:22 p.m.
The pilot was part of the Experimental Aircraft Association give children a plane ride program.
The pilot and three children were on board when the plane was caught by a strong gust of wind and veered off the runway, damaging the wing, the propeller and collapsing the landing gear.
All people on the plane were uninjured. No fuel was spilled in the accident.
The Emery County Sheriff’s Office and the Huntington Fire Department came to the scene of the accident.
The pilot was Ronald Apfelbaum and the plane was a Cessna 180. The pilot is from Salt Lake and was in the area to participate in the fly-in at the Huntington Airport. He was giving three children a ride at the time of the crash.
FAA was contacted about the accident.
