Candidate spotlights for Nov. 6 election day

"Laurie Pitchforth I am Commissioner Laurie Pitchforth and have been a resident of Emery County for 27 years. I have been married to my husband Shane Pitchforth for 35 years; we have four children and seven grandchildren. In the past four years I have helped see many needed improvements to our infrastructure including; improvement to the airport, new roads, food bank, and Sheriffs training center, remodeling of the care center in Ferron and the Huntington Senior Center, and have worked hard for our public lands. I have been a strong advocate for our seniors and will always be a voice for them. There are many things I want to achieve when re-elected and have already been working on grants to remodel our softball /baseball complex. I look forward to a new building for our sheriff in Green River with court facilities and will continue to support tourism in the county. I support our local business and will work with economic development to bring in new sustainable businesses. It has been a privilege to work full time for you the Citizens of Emery County and I ask for your continued support. Always putting Emery County first, Re-Elect Commissioner Laurie Pitchforth."
