Utah Author C. Michelle Jefferies is releasing her first novel Nov. 8. Emergence, a work of adult futuristic suspense, will be available in both electronic and paper formats through Walnut Springs Press. There will be an official book launch open to the public on Nov. 8, at the Senior Center in Castle Dale from six to nine that evening. There will be specially priced books, food, children’s crafts, and the author will give a reading and answer questions at 6:30 p.m.
Hit man, Antony Danic, has never killed an innocent man. At least, the corporation he works for has never given him a reason to think otherwise-until now. Reeling from a series of complications and troubled assignments, the assassin is desperate for some downtime. Utah native C. Michelle Jefferies is an Emery County transplant of five years. She is the mother of six boys and one girl and spends her time writing and working toward her black belt, in Tang Soo Do in Ferron. She loves yard sales, thrift stores and anything Asian or Australian.
Jefferies has a short story called “A Real Tree” in the Christmas story anthology called Sing We Now Of Christmas, released this October, and a middle grade book about manners tentatively called Enchanted Etiquette, which will be out spring 2013.
