Loving brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Robert L. Mathie, passed away March 31, 2013 at the age of 78. He was born on Nov. 23, 1934 in Huntington to the late Samual and Ailena Mathie his step-dad is Rex Fillmore. He married Yvonne Leonard on May 15, 1957, later divorced.
Survived by brothers Lamar, Alex and Gordon, sisters MaNell and Lauretta, children Lynn (Steph) Mathie, Jackie (Rod) Orr, Gary Mathie, Sherrie Bugni and BeLinda (Rocky) Emerson, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.
Robert “Ratchet” was a retired general contractor. He loved the outdoors. Hunting and fishing with family and friends was his passion.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Lone Peak Park Pavilion, 10140 S. 700 E., in Sandy from 5-9 p.m.
