Estella G. Guymon will celebrate her 99th birthday on April 28. She was born in Castle Dale on April 28, 1914, the 11th child and only daughter of Louis and Minnie Acord Ungerman. She graduated from Central High School and attended Brigham Young University. In 1937, she married Elmo G Geary and made a home with him in Huntington. Following Elmo’s death, she married A. Grant Guymon. An active civic worker, Estella served several terms as Emery County Recorder and later served as a member of the Board of Education of the Emery County School District.
Estella’s preferred celebration would be to go dancing with her friends at Wilberg’s Resort. But since Wilberg’s no longer has dances and most of her old friends are now on the Other Side, she plans to spend a quiet day reading and visiting with family and friends in her apartment at Bel Aire Senior Living in American Fork.
