Emery/Green River to host graduations May 23

Emery High and Green River High will hold graduation ceremonies on May 23 at 7 p.m. The EHS graduation will be held in the Emery High Auditorium and the Green River High graduation will be held in the Green River High auditorium. The honor students at Emery are Leedan Johnson, Logan Tuttle, Rachel Roberts, Tyler Pulli, Brendon Jorgensen and Bryson Hales. Each of these students will speak at the graduation ceremony.
Logan Tuttle is the 18 year old son of Wayne and Elise Tuttle of Orangeville. He maintains a grade point average of 4.0. Logan participates in basketball and football, where he was co-team captain. He serves on the social committee on Emery High’s student council and is a member of National Honor Society. Logan enjoys his drafting and seminary classes. He likes spending time with family, hanging out with friends, hunting, fishing, and playing sports. After graduation Logan will leave on a mission for his church to the Michigan Detroit Mission. He will attend college upon his return.
Rachel Roberts, Valedictorian, is the 18 year old daughter of Wayne and Suzette Roberts of Orangeville. She maintains a 4.0 grade point average. Rachel participates in speech and debate, where she serves as vice-president; math club, where she is president; writing club, science club, and National Honor Society. Rachel is Emery High’s Math Sterling Scholar. Rachel enjoys math, art, and school in general. She also likes reading, writing, hiking, playing, and adventuring. Rachel just loves life in general. She plans on serving a mission for her church then gaining an engineering degree from Utah State University.
Tyler Pulli is the 17 year old son of Paul and Angela Pulli of Huntington. He maintains a 3.99 grade point average. Tyler participates on Emery High’s student council where he serves on the social committee. He is also on the football, track, and swim teams. He serves on the Seminary student council. Tyler is Emery High’s Science Sterling Scholar.
He enjoys wakeboarding, snowboarding, and strolls on the beach. Tyler will serve a mission to the Suva Fiji Mission for his church in July and obtain a college education upon his return.
Bryson Hales, Salutatorian is the 17 year old son of Layne and Alaina Hales of Ferron. He maintains a grade point average of 4.0. Bryson is a member of Emery High’s speech and debate, math club, and is Vice-president on Emery High’s student council. Bryson enjoys his history, science, theatre, and math classes. He enjoys basketball, swimming, and video games. Upon graduation Bryson plans on serving a mission for his church and attending college.
Brendon Jorgensen is the 17 year old son of Kent and Nancy Jorgensen of Castle Dale. He maintains a 4.0 grade point average. Brendon participates on Emery High’s cross country, track, and basketball teams. He is a member of Emery High’s math club and National Honor Society. Brendon enjoys hanging out with friends, camping, fishing, and any outdoor stuff. Upon graduation he plans on serving a mission for his church and attending Utah State University to become an engineer.
Logan Tuttle is the son of Wayne and Elise Tuttle of Orangeville. He maintains a 4.0 grade point average. He participated in football and basketball at Emery High School and served as team captain for the football team. Logan is also a member of various organizations including the National Honor Society where he served as Senior Class Service Representative and also on the Emery High Student Council as a Senior Class Social Committee Member. Logan enjoys spending time with family and friends and enjoys spending time in the outdoors. He will be serving an LDS mission for the next two years in the Michigan Detroit Mission and is looking forward to returning home and pursuing a college education.
Leedan Johnson is the son of Marie and Danny Johnson of Huntington.
He has been active in cross country, track and was on the Emery High swim team during his time at Emery High.
He enjoys singing and has participated in the choir at Emery High during his years at the school.
He helps on the family farm and his future plans include attending college and serving a mission.
