The Green River Pirates had three individuals plus a relay team place at the just completed 1-A Utah State track championship meet at BYU. The boys 4×100 relay team finished fourth with a time of 47 seconds. Kyle Johnson, Tyrell Shumway, Joe Serafin and Greg Johnson made up the team.
Tyrell Shumway finished fifth in the javelin with a throw 141 feet 6.50 inches. Joe Serafin finished eighth in the 200 meters with a time of 23.96.
Tay Johnson was the girl to place in the meet for the Pirates. Johnson finished fifth in the long jump with a jump of 15’1.50″.
