HELPER, Carbon County – Joseph “Joe” Rolando, former city councilman and business owner, died in Salt Lake City Friday, May 17, 2013 from cancer. He was 85. Joe was born in Helper on March 3, 1928 to James Perino and Maria Quilico Rolando. On Sept. 6, 1952, he married Alberta Rose Jerant at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Helper. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Helper. Vigil service will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the church. Viewing will be at Mitchell Funeral Home, Price, and at the church Tuesday and Wednesday one hour before services. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Helper. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to St. Anthony’s Church.
