WELLINGTON-Kenneth Rey Johnson, age 73, passed away May 18, 2013 in Ferron. He was born Sept. 20, 1939 in Torrey, Utah to Sixtus Ellis and Edith Arvella Clifford Johnson. Married Beth Draves, August 31, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah, they later divorced.
Ken honorably served his country as a Quarter Master in the US Army. Upon returning from the service he attended and graduated from Stevens-Henagers School of Business. Kenneth was a great philosopher who enjoyed reading, writing and sharing his knowledge with others. He loved riding his bicycle, enjoying the solitude of the mountains and watching the sunsets.
Survived by his children, Shirley Wayman and Sterling Curtis, East Carbon, Melanie Kim (John) Smith, Round Up, Mont., Clifford Rey (Cheryl) Johnson,
Emery; three brothers and two sisters, Clifford Johnson, Henrieville, Utah, Keith (Sandra) Johnson, Ariz, Melba (Charles) Hinds, Logan, Norma Asay,Bountiful, Dennis (Joyce) Johnson, Panguitch; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, and dear friend Earl Clark.
Funeral service, Friday, May 24, 2013, 2 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street-Price). Family will be at Mitchell’s Friday one hour prior to services. Interment, Wellington City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Ken at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
