On behalf of Emery County Farm Bureau and Utah Farm Bureau, we would like to thank the teachers of Emery County School District for their continued support in our Creative Story Contest. This year Emery County had more than 150 entries in four different grades. The theme that the students wrote about this year was “From Farm to Fork”
The third grade winner from Huntington Elementary is Mcaydee Liddle. Her parents are Nate and Olivia Liddle. Her teacher is Carolee Keele.
The fourth grade winner from Huntington Elementary is Shaylee Grange. Her parents are Theron and Estelle Grange. Her teacher is Jody Carter.
The fifth grade winner from Castle Dale Elementary is Brandon Weaver. His parents are Brandon and Kathrine Weaver. His teacher is Carrie Jean Jones. As well as winning first place in Emery County, Brandon also won third place in the Utah Farm Bureau contest.
The sixth grade winner from Castle Dale Elementary is Alexis Johansen. Her parents are Brock and Andrea Johansen. Her teacher is Jamie Huggard. As well as winning first place in Emery County, Alexis also won third place in the Utah Farm Bureau contest.
The first place winners in the Emery County Farm Bureau contest win a cash prize of $25. The Utah Farm Bureau State winners receive an additional $25 for placing third.
