The Miss Emery Pageant was held on Saturday evening at the Emery High Auditorium.
Seven girls were in the pageant including: Jaicelyn Shakespaere who was crowned as the 2013 Miss Emery, Laurel Jefferies was crowned first attendant and also received the Spirit of Miss Emery award. The second attendant was Savahana Hall. The ticket sale winner was Jaicelyn Shakespaere. Other contestants participating included: Savannah Woolsey, Melissa Walkenhorst, Kelsie McElprang and Kelcey Gordon.
The show opened with the production number by all the contestants and the Miss Emery 2012 MarKette Tanner. Mark Tanner and MarKette Tanner were the emcees for the event.
The contestants competed in private interview, lifestyle and fitness, on-stage question, talent and the evening wear category.
The first event on Miss Emery’s schedule will be the Heritage Days parade.
