On Tuesday rain in Huntington Canyon has caused flooding in the Old Folks Flat area and SR-31 is closed at Crandall Canyon.
Currently the Utah Department of Transportation is working to get the road opened again. Water coming down Huntington Creek has washed mud, rocks and debris onto the road. The Huntington Creek is running high and is black with water runoff from the burn area.
It is unknown at this time how long the road will be closed, but it’s expected it will take several hours to clean the debris.
There is also water flowing over the North Cleveland road in the valley.
