GREEN RIVER-Bonnie Faye Vetere, age 75, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013, in her home surrounded by family and friends. Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister returned home to her Father in Heaven after battling numerous medical conditions for the past 24 months.
She was born on Jan. 26, 1938 in Price, Utah, the daughter of William Levon Bigelow and Sylvia Lavern Hunt. Bonnie married her sweetheart John Vetere Jr. on May 25th 1956. They just celebrated 57 years of marriage prior to John’s passing on June 15, 2013.
Bonnie lived life to the fullest. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother who loved everyone. The most important thing in her life was spending time with her family and friends. She was a friend to many and a role model for all to emulate.
Bonnie is survived by four daughters and one son, Carrie Vetere (Rex), Candice Vetere Brien (Butch), John Cory Vetere, Carmen Vetere, Crystal Vetere Halphin (Dave); sisters, Barbara Swanson of St. George, Utah, Billie Mae Olney of Sandy, Utah, Betty Harward of Bountiful, Utah; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service, Saturday, August 24, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at John Vetere’s Ranch, (615 N. Hastings Road) in Green River, Utah. Family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street ) in Price and at the ranch Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Elgin Cemetery, Green River, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Bonnie online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net. The times we were able to spend with Bonnie will always be cherished. An amazing woman who will truly be missed by so many!
