FERRON- After enjoying life with a loving family, Donald Lewis Coley, age 75, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2013 from complications following a stroke. Donnie was born on May 22, 1938 to Donald and Martha Coley in Las Vegas Nev. He was born weeks early, deprived of oxygen, and was not expected to live. His Mother had other plans for him however, and she dedicated her life to taking care of him. Donnie grew up in Las Vegas, Nev. and moved to Ferron, Utah after his Dad died in 1977. He has spent the last year in the Emery County Nursing Home. Donnie touched many lives in his 75 years with his contagious smile, belly laugh, and his pleasant nature. Everyone who knew him loved him-it was impossible not to. Donnie was always good for telling an animated story about a pick up truck down on the corner. He spent countless hours “working” on all kinds of automobiles. He would have a cup of coffee with anyone who was willing and invited everyone to his birthday party.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Jackie Jones (Ferron), and brother Michael Coley (Las Vegas). He will be missed by his nieces, nephews and countless cousins. The family would like to thank the staff at Emery County Nursing Home for their love and care. A graveside service for Donnie will be held Friday, August 23, 2013, 12 noon at the Ferron City Cemetery. A viewing for family and friends will be Friday at the Millsite LDS Ward in Ferron from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Donnie at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
