It has been three years since Beta Zeta started a project to put headstones on every unmarked grave in the Elgin Cemetery. We are happy to announce that our project is now completed. A beautiful, small granite headstone has been placed on 63 graves, some with names, and some with just the words unknown.
We wish to thank everyone that helped support this project, you came to our money making events, sent us donations, researched names, and gave us a lot of encouragement. We couldn’t have done it without your help. There are still enough funds left in our treasury to do another small cemetery project which we will be working on in the future. From the smallest donation to the largest, it was truly a community project and together we succeeded, good work and good people make great things happen. Thank you all!
Beta Zeta is a chapter in ESA (Epsilon Sigma Alpha) a philanthropic organization in local, national and global communities.
