Orangeville – Sheri Larsen Cox, age 57, passed away suddenly on Nov. 16, 2013 in Orangeville, Utah. Sheri was born June 24, 1956 in Price, Utah to Max Larsen and Dora Guymon Larsen. She married Leslie S. Cox on Sept. 18, 1976 at her parent’s house in Huntington, Utah. She and Leslie were later sealed in the Manti temple on Feb. 13, 1994.
Sheri was raised in Huntington, Utah and then later moved to Orangeville, Utah with her spouse, Leslie. She lived in Orangeville until her passing. She became an RN in her 40’s. She later used this education as she worked at the Emery County Care Center where she helped many families as they lost loved ones.
Sheri was a very loving and generous person. She was blessed with the gift of a listening ear, the ability to accept everyone, and a heart that gave unconditional love. She was an avid reader and loved to learn. She loved camping with friends and family as they watched the fires glow. She noticed the details about the world around her such as the beautiful golden leaves, blooming wildflowers, and mountain views which were appreciated by her often.
Sheri loved her family very much and was extremely loyal to them. She would go out of her way for them, and sacrifice greatly so that they felt loved and appreciated. She had three grandsons that she absolutely adored, and they were the light of her life even in dark times. She was rarely without one of her sisters, and they truly were her best friends.
She is survived by her husband, Leslie; her children, Raquel (Hyrum) Oaks, and Ben Cox; her grandchildren, Matthew, James and Ethan; her father, Max Larsen; her sisters and their spouses, Gayle (Kent) Brown, Barbara (Jon) Crawford, April (Chris) Satchwell, and brother Guy (Kelly) Larsen.
Sheri was preceded in death by her mother, Dora Larsen, who passed away a little over a year prior to her. She mourned her daily, and her family is comforted to know she is with her. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Fred Fail Cox, who was a great friend of hers.
