Emery wrestlers have been working hard to improve their performance. In their first home match of the season they beat Summit Academy. The final varsity score was 66-18 in Emery’s favor. All junior varsity wrestlers won their matches
Emery coach Kirk Christiansen said, “I was very proud of the boys. They are working hard this year and are learning new things. I am proud of their willingness to try new things and wrestle aggressively. We competed at the Salem Hills Skyhawk Showdown last weekend against 4 and 5a schools and had many of the boys end as placers. I have never worked with a team that has such a strong sense of being and acting like a team. They want to see each other succeed and encourage each other to do their best.”
