FERRON – Ryan James Behling, age 36, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 16, 2014. Ryan was born Aug. 3, 1977 in Price, Utah to Jim and Sandy Staker Behling. He was raised in Ferron, Utah with his three younger brothers, Randy, Kyle and Kayden who were his best friends for life. They spent their time playing at the creek, night games and hanging out at the house with all their friends. He married the love of his life, Heather Jorgensen, on April 7, 2001 in Castle Dale, Utah.
Ryan loved his family very much. His kids were his greatest joy in his life. He loved spending time with them, and they were always together. He enjoyed doing various things with his family. Among those were spontaneous road trips, being in the outdoors with them, and enjoying various activities such as camping, 4-wheeling, and hunting. He not only enjoyed playing golf, but also enjoyed watching it.
Ryan loved coal mining. He worked in the mines for 14 years in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana. He also worked construction for several years. His personality and humor were contagious and he was the life of the party.
Ryan will be remembered as a loving son, brother, husband, father, and close friend to many. He will be missed very much.
He is survived by the love of his life, Heather; children: Jacklyn, Bianca, and Maddex; parents, Jim and Sandy Staker Behling; and “The Brothers”: Randy Behling of Castle Dale, Utah, Kyle Behling of Herriman, Utah, and Kayden (Caitlin) Behling of Rock Springs, Wyo.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jimmy Staker, Sally Staker Atwood, and Jean Behling.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Ferron LDS Stake Center (555 South 400 West). There was a viewing Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (720 North Center St., Castle Dale) and on Tuesday at the Stake Center from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Ferron City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guest book and share memories of Ryan at www.fausettmortuary.com.
