Vanee Mortensen Larsen, age 79, of Mt. Emmons, Utah passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 peacefully at her home after a 3 year battle with cancer.
She was born March 8, 1934 in Spring Canyon, Utah the daughter of Carl Ellis and Vern Elizabeth Mortensen.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Aullen K. Larsen, Altamont, Utah; daughter’s Jeanette Larsen, Santa Rosa, Calif.; Diana Traeger (Frank) Bainbridge, N.Y.; Carla Whitman (Patrick) Big Piney, Wyo.; and a son, Collin M. Larsen (Rhonda), Layton, Utah; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kel, her parents, a sister, Ricky Edwards, a brother, Dennis Mortensen and sisters-in-law Janet Mortensen, and Phyllis Mortensen.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the Altamont LDS Stake Center. Friends may visit the family Friday, Jan. 24th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary, 457 East 300 North, Roosevelt, UT and Saturday at the church from 9 am to 9:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Elmo, Utah about 2:30 p.m. cemetery.
