Scholarship Pageant
The Miss Emery Pageant will be on June 7. The Little Miss Pageant is on June 6. The Miss Emery Pageant is open to all girls ages 17-24. To help prepare you, workshops will begin in February. Call Jessica, 801-616-2449 or Heather 801-367-3565. Pageant winners will earn scholarship money.
USU Eastern
10th Annual statewide high school art show at Gallery East. The Exhibit runs from through Feb. 7. A closing reception and awards ceremony will be on Feb. 7 from 7-9 p.m. Gallery East is open Monday through Thursday and is free to attend. Questions, call Carmack at 435-613-5241.
3rd Annual Castle Valley Crop School
Plan to attend the Castle Valley Crop School on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at the Carbon County Event Center. A Trade Show and light Dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m., with presentations beginning at 6:30 p.m. Many interesting topics will be discussed including: Crop Rotation and Pasture Improvement, Precision Farming, Alfalfa varieties and a Discussion Panel on No-Till and Soil Health. Love and Logic Class
Ferron Elementary PTO will offer a love and logic class beginning Feb. 6, 13, 20, 27 and March 6 at 7 p.m. at the Ferron Elementary Library. The classes will be taught by Merlin Weber. For questions call the school at 384-2383.
Stuffed animals needed
If you have any stuffed animals or small toys in new condition, the Huntington Elementary Valentine’s Carnival is taking donations. Bring the stuffed animals to the Huntington Elementary office in Huntington as soon as possible.
