PRICE- Stella Susan Ulibarri Quintana, age 90, passed away peacefully at Castleview Hospital in Price on May 5, 2014. She has gone on to be with her loving husband who has waited for her for 40 years.
Stella was born Oct.1, 1923, in Sunnyside, Utah to Cloramido and Victoria Perea Ulibarri. She married the love of her life Pete (Poncho) Quintana on May 29, 1943 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was blessed in the Catholic Church. He passed away on March 27, 1973.
Mom will be remembered for her sense of humor, her art of storytelling and her love for her children and grandchildren. She was a licensed beautician for many years and worked in various salons and her last job was working at the Carbon County Nursing Home. But her greatest love was raising her children. She was always cooking and feeding everyone. She was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church and she had a great love for the Catholic Church. Her Saint was St. Theresa of the little flower.
Stella is survived by her eight children, Terry (Mary) Quintana, Buddy (Deloris), all of Price; Linda (Mike) Magann, Phoenix, AZ; Dolly (Paul) Downard, Price; Rey Quintana, Salt Lake; Jay Quintana, Ernie (Lynda) Quintana, Duane (Bernadette) Quintana; all of Price; daughter-in-law, Debbie Quintana, Price; 24 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren. Mom’s Special Kitty Trixy.
Preceded in death by parents, husband, son Larry, grandson Tony. Rest In Peace Mama.
Funeral Mass Friday, May 9, 2014, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, Price. Vigil Service Thursday evening 7 p.m. Family will be at Mitchell’s Thursday and Friday one hour prior to services. Committal service Price City Cemetery, Price.
