Our beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin and friend, Joey Don Julander Tong, 17, passed away May 9, 2014 from injuries sustained from carbon monoxide poisoning. He was born Sept. 27, 1996 in Richfield to Robyn Dawn Julander and Jason Louie Tong.
He loved being in the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved to tease, have fun, would never back down and wherever he was, he always had a friend with him.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Robyn Julander and Shawn Utley of Richfield; father and step-mother Jason and Lesley Tong of Castle Dale; siblings, Bryce Louie Tong, Zachary Leon Camden both of Richfield, Daezey Kae Defa and Shaley Jean Tong, both of Castle Dale; grandparents, Michael Louie Tong, Nola Jean Tong, Sandy Julander; and other extended family members.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Tyler Utley; grandpa Don Julander.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Marysvale LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. or at the ward chapel in Marysvale on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Marysvale Cemetery.
