Maura Kearney Padulo, age 65, left this mortal realm June 9, 2014 at her home in Price, Utah. Born March 30, 1949 in Willimantic, Conn. to Sheila (Sullivan) and John T. Kearney she attended St. Rose of Lima in Murphreesboro, Tenn., St. Peter’s in Kirkwood MO and Ursuline Academy in Oakland, MO. When her family moved to Norwalk Conn. she attended and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1967. In Norwalk, Maura worked for Dr. William Stephanak, DDS. She married Daniel F. Padulo on April 17, 1971, and was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Leigh Ellen and Meghan Colleen.
She was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish of Price, UT.
Maura lived in Norwalk and Bridgeport Conn., Milford Mass., Derry and Londonderry NH, Bridgeport Conn., Great Falls, Mont. and Price Utah.
Survivors include daughter Leigh Ellen McNemar of Great Falls Mont., granddaughters Kacey McNemar and Dallas England of Great Falls Mont., and great granddaughter Eden Skye, and six brothers and sisters; Tim Kearney of Epping NH, Pat Kearney George of Torrey Utah, Kathi Kearney Reaves of Ferron Utah, Sean Kearney of Mount Pleasant Utah, Colleen Kearney Adriani of Easton, Conn., and Kelly Kearney of Simsbury Conn. Maura was preceded in death by her daughter Meghan Padulo.
Warm of heart and quick with a smile, Maura was a thoughtful, fun loving spirit who loved a hearty laugh. She was an avid reader of mystery novels, enjoyed playing cards and games of memory. In addition to her daughter, and brothers and sisters, Maura was loved and supported by her lifelong friend Mary Jorgen Morini of Chesterfield, MO.
A memorial funeral Mass service will be held at Mission San Rafael in Huntington, Utah at 6 p.m. Wednesday June 25. Interment will be at St. Michael’s in Stratford, Conn. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home (435-637-2668) of Price, Utah where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Maura at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to a charity of your choice in Maura’s name.
