CLEVELAND-Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and longtime friend, Henry C. Jensen, age 69, went on his last ride July 6, 2014. He now is reunited with his beloved Sandra.
He was born Dec. 17, 1944 in Dragerton, Utah to Darrell and Hildred Henrie Jensen. Married the love of his life, Sandra Jensen on Nov. 4, 1972 in Las Vegas, Nev; she preceded him in death on September 8, 2012.
Henry was a lifelong resident of Carbon and Emery counties where he worked as a mechanic and crane operator at the Carbon, Hunter and Huntington Power Plants. He loved to keep busy and in his earlier years he had his own business operating a backhoe, dump truck and Cat. Anyone that knew Henry, knew that his true passion in life was operating a crane. After his retirement he went to work for American Crane as a crane operator. Henry spent countless hours in the outdoors. He loved riding the desert and mountains on his mules, regardless of how hot it was. He also enjoyed camping, shooting, collecting watches and guns, and riding his Razor. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. “Cowboy Up, Cupcake”.
Henry leaves behind one son and two daughters, Travis (Toni) Atwood, Huntington, Chandra (Darrin) Jensen, Cleveland, Chris Moyes, Helena, MT; grandchildren, Shanda (Jesse) McArthur, Sharamie Atwood (Taylor), Shakoda Atwood, Shelby (Kelsie) Jensen, Shantz and Shekiya Jensen, Cryslen and
Jayden Moyes, great-grandchildren, Bronc and Grit; sisters-in-law, LaRene Jensen, Ferron, Thelma Jensen, Ferron, Beverly Jensen, Castle Dale, Wyanna (Ron) World, Cleveland; community of friends and his faithful companion, MoeBandy.
Preceded in death by parents, infant sisters, brother, Earl Jensen; sister-in-law, Wilda Jones; brothers-in-law, John and Bertley Jensen.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Karen Radley, Nita and Marvin Thayn and Hazel McMullin for the excellent care and concern shown to Henry and his family.
A celebration of Henry’s life will be held Friday, July 11, 2014, 10 a.m., at the Cleveland Town Park. A viewing for family and friends will begin at 9 a.m. at the park. Interment, Cleveland City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Henry at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
