UDOT has been working to clear the Huntington Canyon Road SR-31 all day Friday. The road flooded with approximately two feet of debris at Summerhomes Canyon and also a couple of other places in the canyon.
The road will reopen at approximately 6 p.m. on Friday.
The crews finished clearing the debris and were waiting for a water truck to wash mud from the road so the roadway would not be slippery for motorists.
The road will be watched and any further flood events will cause the road to be closed and cleaned again.
More rain is in the forecast for Emery County.
