BEAVER/CLEVELAND – Janet Minchey, age 59 passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 in Beaver, Utah with her loving husband by her side. She was born July 20, 1955 in Price, Utah to Loren Dick and Doris Lee Kirby Wilson. She married the love of her life, William “Bill” Minchey, on Dec. 22, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Janet loved her husband, family and friends, and they loved her. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren. While she loved being home, she also loved traveling and seeing new places. She collected rocks, gems, and jewelry. She loved watching the Utah Jazz. Janet enjoyed canning, gardening, crafting, and baking. She made the best rolls in the world. She never complained about anything and was a very hard worker. Among her various jobs, she was a flagger, a secretary, and a housekeeper. She loved being around family and friends, and it didn’t matter who it was; she wanted to cook for them and look after all their needs.
Janet is survived by her husband Bill of Beaver; daughter Audrey (Mitch)Horton of Huntington; sons Jake Minchey and Scott Minchey both of Beaver; mother Doris Wilson of Huntington; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings John (Gloria) Wilson and Sherri (Philip) Heaps both of Huntington, and sister-in-law Cynetta Wilson of Arizona. She is preceded in death by father Dick Wilson and siblings Danny Wilson and Linda Potter.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Cleveland Cemetery with a viewing from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Huntington, Utah (620 North Main Street).
