FERRON – Joyce Peterson Frost, age 51 passed away Aug. 20, 2014. Joyce was born Dec. 6, 1962 in Price, Utah to Kenneth Hugh and Shonna Maxfield Peterson.
She married Timothy Frost on June 13, 1990, in Emery, Utah. They lived in Emery County for a few years, then settled in Nebraska. When Joyce’s health declined, she returned to Utah to be closer to family. Tim currently lives in Kearney, Nebraska.
Joyce grew up in and loved Emery. She was raised in a family of girls which was often referred to as “Petticoat Junction”. Joyce loved to be with family. She was a tease and loved to joke with you. She loved her nieces and nephews. She spent the last years of her life living in various care centers and made many friends. She loved Pepsi, Cheetos, eating out, playing games, small dogs, and collecting angels. She cherished her membership in the LDS Church.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Tim; parents, Hugh and Shonna Peterson; and sisters: Loretta (Gail) Grundvig of West Jordan, Elaine (Richard) Grange of Sandy, Colleen (David) Bott of Castle Dale, Maxine (Jack) Fielder of Castle Dale, and Louise (Paul) Venturella of Rancho Murieta, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, LuDean and Ella Maxfield and Ken and Pearl Peterson.
The family extends their appreciation to the Emery County Nursing Home for their loving care of Joyce.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014 at Noon at the Emery LDS Church (70 North Center St.). There was a viewing that morning from 10 – 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment, Emery Town Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guest book and share memories of Joyce at www.fausettmortuary.com.
