Emery High hosted their lone cross country meet of the season and both the girls team and the boy’s team finished second behind North Sevier High School. The scores for the girls were North Sevier 22 and Emery 43 with the rest of the region behind. For the boys it was North Sevier 36 and Emery 55. Scoring for the girls were Erin Hurst at number three followed by Tarryn Parkins at number seven. Jacie Huntington finished ninth, Allyson Woolsey finished 11th and Laura Burke finished 13th. Valerie Chynoweth finished 16th and Lexy Cox finished 17th as other Spartans ran well.
Leading the boys was Ty Funk in third; followed by Alex Stilson at number 10, Daryl Guymon at number 11, McKoy Christiansen at number 13 and Beau Ivie at number 18. Tanyon Allred finished 20th, Brady Dale finished 24th and Lane Taylor finished 25th for other team scores. The two teams will be at South Sevier this Wednesday.
